The CWs really kicked it this past July sewing day!!

Several reasons the numbers look so good this month. Trella Whaley took a big bag of bedding that was needing pinning for final step. Karen Bunnell did matching of sets to be ready for Johnny Catanzarite to pin. Margaret Kelley and Johnny Catanzarite came over and cut fleece that will be going to Karen Bunnell to do more matching.

 

The location worked well, and the AC was amazing, and the people attending were even better!!! Thanks for all that contributed!

May 2023 Sew day

All went well for our meeting in our new location, even better than expected!! Special thanks to Wendy Hunter for helping find and get this place ready for us! Johnny made a new sign for this month to celebrate our new location!
We had an unexpected visit from Sue Pyron, and her husband Benny. Sue came to wish us well, and gave a generous donation to help with the Crafty Weasels. Actually the donation was from her and her two ferrets. Even Benny seems to be enjoying them! ❤
Trella Whaley has some wonderful BBQ with all the fixins, and Johnny, Margaret, Karen, and Nancy brought enough desserts to feed an Army!!

Another successful and fun sewing day for the Crafty Weasels. Johnny bought his sweet boy Freckles to share with us, and you will see Macy’s (the puppy) Mom, Dora, was able to get into the group pictures with us. Johnny made us a new sign for our March Sewing Day!!

February 2023 Sew Day

We had a fun and extremely busy sewing day with the Crafty Weasels.  Morgan brought her boy, Finch, to share the wonderful ferret cuddles and kisses.  We had a nice amount of residents stop by to admire him, and learn more about what we do with our sewing group.  Trella went the extra extra mile for us Saturday.  She has generally taken a bag of miscellaneous bedding that needs the last of the pinning before being complete.  Well, her furkid Pip was at the vets on Friday, and had to have surgery.  Trella still drove up (3 hour drive) to bring the pinned bedding, and spend the day with us.  Extra kudos for her dedication!!  Keep Trella, and Pip in your thoughts and prayers, still not out of the woods (and this is posted on Monday).

We had a past member, Wendy, come back and join us.  Even without ferrets she plans on being a regular.  We also had a new member, Dawn, and hoping she will be a regular too.  She is from Chicago area without ferrets at the moment, but hoping to see the beautiful artwork that she makes too.

January 2023 Sew day

We had another good sewing day in January 2023, our starting off a good new year!!  Trella brought an amazing assortment of sandwich making foods, that more than covered everyone’s preferences.  Johnny brought a cake to celebrate January Birthdays (mine, and Margaret).
Johnny brought Freckles to share with us doing our sewing day, and also made us a new sign to start our 2023 year out right!!

End of the Year – 2022

We have much to celebrate with the end of 2022, and now we are still up and running together in 2023. Karen has given me the totals below of what we accomplished in 2022, and you all have so much to be proud of for this. If I remember correctly we still will passing bedding back and forth until we were able to start meeting again at Brookdale in May 2022.

October 2022 Sew day

We had another exceptional sewing day at our favorite sewing location in Roswell.

The group was just the right size to probably be heard out in the hallways because we did have residents come in to visit and see Morgan’s two furkids.We definitely laughed, joked and still were able to get a lot completed.  We were so busy, I have to admit that I didn’t take any pictures of her boys because I spent that time getting kisses, and holding them.
