Very unusual sew day this past Saturday.  We were missing three of our “regular” sewing people.  Lisa and Margaret both brought their machines so it helped to keep us moving.  Karen made several of our “hard to sew” items, and I have to admit, I’m thrilled she took on that task instead of me. Johnny brought his little girl Snooki, who was definitely the princess at that party. She is such a sweet little girl – everyone loved her!

We had a really good sew day on Saturday.  Started with Sue bringing a cute little ferret ferret girl, Pearl, from the shelter.  Good thing that Karen had already volunteered to foster her because others were definitely putting dibs on her if she didn’t go home with Karen.  Diana, the new lady from Brookdale, like Pearl so much, she took her to share with the other residents.

What a wonderful start to the new year with our Crafty Weasel Sew Day this past Saturday.  Lisa made a wonderful Bundt cake, which we all shared for an afternoon break.

We were missing a couple of our “regulars” that bring their machines, so Lisa brought her new machine and really kept things going.  Which means, we had a nice amount of bedding completed at the end of the day.

Next month we will be having a “fun” sew day.  So, if there a project you needed help with, or never found the time to complete.  Need a bit of encouragement doing something that is sewing/craft related?  That is what next month is about.  Helping get some project completed.  I will be bringing the jellyroll top that Mary Ann had completed, but still needed to have the padding  and backing put together and completed.  I’m hoping we will have it done by the time we have the Celebration for her Birthday a following Saturday.  More information will be coming on that event too.

We tied with last year 677 pieces of bedding this year.  Great job weasels!

Well, as usual it was an interesting sew day last Saturday.  We do have a way of always ending up laughing and having fun, no matter how we get started.  :-)
