Amereta, thanks again for being such a wonderful host, and taking care of all of us on your Birth week.

Even with all the festivities going on at the April Sew day we completed 86 pieces of bedding and shipped out 3 boxes.

Sew day was at Karen’s in McDonough and as usual she was a wonderful hostess … good food, and good time.

There was lots of preplanning and extra work done between the sew days by various members (you know who you are.)

and 17 regular sets (by Dawn). We are really rocking for 2011.

Well, we’ve finished our first sew day of 2011. I’ve attached a couple of pictures of the group, and bedding completed.

We were able to finish:

13 Regular Sets

5- hammies

2- sleepsacks

5 Ferret Nation Sets

2 FN sleepsakcs

1 FN hammie

Jewelz brought 16 completed open hammies (made from our extra left over material).

Lisa and Amereta also brought a completed bag of of braided toys to send with our boxes.

So we totaled 62 pieces of bedding this Sunday. Definitely feels like we accomplished a lot!

The interesting thing is we tossed a few ideas around (I think Amereta was on top of the ideas), and we have a decided

I will be sending out two boxes this week to the two shelters that are next on our list for bedding. They are:

Fuzzy Connection in Raleigh, NC and Little Rascals Ferret Rescue in Jacksonville, FL

2009 was an amazing year for the Crafty Weasels! We completed 100+ MORE pieces of bedding (and toys) than we did in 2008. Thanks to all our volunteers and donors. Even with the rough economy we still came through with higher numbers than we ever expected.
